It’s not often that the snow lies in the centre of Edinburgh, and – whilst I didn’t have a lot of time to take advantage of it – I did manage to get some shots of the Castle and Princes Street Gardens.
The light was fading, and the sun was beginning to set, casting a very weak golden light. Ideal for HDR.
All these shots are high dynamic range, created from three hand-held shots taken at different exposures then blended together to create the distinctive HDR look.
I think the processing suits the subject well, but you can make up your own mind here. (Click on any image to see the shots full-size).
